About TRCN
Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, TRCN is an agency of the Federal Ministry of Education of Nigeria. It was established by the TRCN Decree N0. 31 of 1993 (now TRCN Act CAP T3 of 2004). The major mandates are the regulation and control of the Teaching Profession at all levels of the Nigerian Education system, both in the public and private sectors.
Procedures on How to Register with Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria
1. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING EXAMINATION
Teachers seeking to enroll for the Professional Qualifying Examination (PQE), are to complete the registration forms obtainable from State offices nationwide. Completed registration forms must be returned with evidence of payment of examination fees payable according to categories thus;

Note: (i) That the exam fee does not cover cost for Registration. Candidate who passed the examination will still pay registration fee for eventual registration as professional teachers.

PQE Successful Candidates are to Visit any of TRCN Offices close to them with your teller and they will issued a cash receipt to enable you process your registration.

- Annual dues are to be paid at any Commercial Bank and the teller taken to TRCN office for documentation.

A teacher is required to renew his/her license every three (3) years. However he/she must have paid his/her annual dues consecutively for those three (3) years for his/her license to be renewed. Other conditions expected before a teachers license is renewed include:
a. Good conduct.
b. Earning of credit units stipulated for professional development in the TRCN Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) Manual.
c. Regular participation in TRCN membership activities.
5.UPGRADING
A teacher who earns higher qualification can change his/her membership grade (e.g. from B to A) by visiting TRCN office to complete a standadized upgrading form. Such a teacher will also pay the difference in the registration fee between the old and new grade.
TRCN Act CAP T3 of 2004 stipulates that a registered teacher may be deregistered on several grounds which include:a. Forgery of registration documents and process.
b. Conviction by the Teachers Tribunal for the breach of professional conduct and related offences.
c. Conviction by court of law for criminal offence.
d. Death.

How to Check TRCN Result 2022
As the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, TRCN shortlisted candidates have completed the aptitude test examination, the next step is to check the TRCN CBT result.
Follow the procedures provided hereunder to check your result:

- Input your TRCN PQE Number or Name in the space provided e.g BD/PQE/B019/P/00105
- Click “check my result” on the page
- Wait for your TRCN result to be displayed.
