Job Title: Nutrition Senior LGA Facilitator

Job Summary
The role is for Deloitte Independent Facilitators, who will develop essential linkage between the UNICEF FO and the LGA for coordination and integration of nutrition activities implementation of nutrition in their assigned areas
These facilitators will be responsible for supervising the day to day implementation of nutrition activities and the daily operations of the ward nutrition supervisors with a focus on ensuring quality implementation and data reporting.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordination and supervision of Nutrition activities within LGA of assignment in collaboration with the LGA nutrition focal person.
- Provide weekly update on the humanitarian situation and relevant updates on the changes, such as influx of new IDP’s or disruption to services.
- Ensure that national guidelines are followed for the provision of Nutrition services at the community and facility levels.
- Ensure adequate stock of key commodities (RUTF, MNP) are available within the LGA and at facilities.
- Monitor the distribution and utilization of Nutrition commodities and provide reports on suspected misuse to supervisor.
- Participate in meetings at LGA and state level as required.
- Supervise the ward nutrition supervisors and provide regular updates on the functioning of the community structures to the supervisor, including compiling of data from nutrition implementing sites.
- Ensure that nutrition supplies are requested appropriately, stored in good conditions at LGA level and report inappropriate storage conditions to supervisor.
- Coordinate the activity of community nutrition mobilizers
- Any other duties assigned by supervisor that are in line with the general job description.
Required Qualifications
- University Degree in Public Health, Nutrition or a Health related field OR the equivalent.
- At least 3 years experience in Health/Public health program management.
- Experience working in emergencies will be an advantage.
- Experience in working with communities on Nutrition and/or other health related issues.
Skill Requirements:
- Must be a computer literate.
- Fluency in English and Hausa is compulsory.
