Description

Job Summary

You will actively and successfully manage the end-to-end sales process; sourcing new customers, scoping customer requirements, providing unique solutions and liaising with the Quality departments to ensure consistency in the quality of products delivered to all customers; and limit customer complaints to the barest minimum.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with selected construction companies/ developers/ architects/ authorities and owners to understand their needs in the segment

2.Building Segment Manager (Technical Sales) – Cement Industry

Description

Job Summary

The Building Segment Manager (or Head Building Segment) works with internal and external partners to develop and implement the building segment strategy. Based on proper market and customer understanding, the building segment offer is optimized for value generation and capturing as well as to build/ reinforce a high brand equity.

Responsibilities

  • Support the country market strategy and ensure the increase of market share vs other materials and with increased margins/ improved product mix
  • Analyze market and construction trends in the building segment
  • Develop value proposition key sub-segments (priorities)

Description

  • Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
  • Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity

Job Summary

Perform routine maintenance, repairs, installation, calibration, adjustment and integration of various types of plant instrumentation equipment.

Job Summary

Provide support for the logistics function by managing Dispatch activities (weigh in and weigh out) to ensure all inbound and outbound trucks weight are accurately captured and documented, with focus on time, in order to meet up with customers demand.

Description

Job Summary

Oversee and coordinate product testing and inspection process for DCP products to ensure optimal quality of final products is achieved and pre-determined standards of production are maintained.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and drive the implementation of the annual Quality Control Plan for the plant.
  • Ensure that production quality control processes are implemented in line with agreed upon procedures and guidelines.
  • Supervise laboratory operations to ensure precision in the sample testing process for raw materials, intermediate products, final products, oil, water, gas, etc. and appropriate calibration of equipments.

Job Summary

Carry out continuous inspection of the assigned section at plants to ensure that equipments functioning effectively and minimize interruptions to operations.

Description

Job Summary

Operate Stacker/ Reclaimer effectively to ensure timely transportation of limestone and gypsum to the Cement Mills.

Ensure efficient stacker/ reclaimer operations to enable adequate quantities of material to be crushed on the designated piles for each product (high grade limestone, mixed grade, additives and gypsum).

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing DCP’s approved production plan.
  • Operate Stacker/ Reclaimer effectively and in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure materials are supplied to the appropriate location in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with relevant personnel to ensure smooth material supply to cement mills.
  • Liaise with Stores to ensure Stacker/ Reclaimer are sufficiently fueled at all times.
  • Liaise with Maintenance to ensure that appropriate maintenance is carried out on Stacker/ Reclaimer when due.

SSCE with minimum of ten (10) years’ relevant experience. Or

20. Process Engineer (Cement Industry)

Description

Job Summary

Manage and supervise the effective execution of all production activities during respective shift to ensure seamless and efficient operations within the Production department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in the execution of DCP’s production plan.
  • Ensure all production equipments are operated in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor control process units from clinker silo extraction to cement silo filling in Dangote Cement Plants at every point in time.
  • Ensure raw materials – clay, laterite and limestone – for cement production are properly crushed to achieve preset quality targets.
  • Supervise casual staff to ensure all conveyor belts in the unit are clean and free from jamming.
  • Ensure machine operators wear appropriate safety gears during operations.
  • Coordinate all production staff during respective shift to ensure uninterrupted activities at the plant.
  • Ensure cement and clinker production targets are achieved during respective shift.
  • Prepare detailed shift reports for the attention of the Section Head, Crushing Operations.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Section Head, Crushing Operations.

Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a technical discipline.

Description

Job Summary

Monitor various sections of the production line from the Central Control Room (CCR) to ensure precision and adherence to standards in the cement production process.

Provide relevant information and direction to Patrollers and Operators in the production line based on monitored operations in liaison with the Shift Coordinators.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing DCP’s approved production plan.
  • Monitor and control all sections of the plant process lines to ensure stable equipment operation, employee safety and compliance with prescribed standards and environmental regulations.
  • Log in process data at specified intervals; document and report operational activities accordingly.
  • Ensure smooth operation of the raw mills, kilns and cement mills by providing constant feedback and relevant guidance to Shift Coordinators, Engineers, Patrollers and Operators in the execution of field work.
  • Inform Patrollers, Attendants and Operators of failures, potential failures or trouble spots and provide direction for problem solving.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot potential operating problems, either in consultation with Shift Coordinators, Engineers and the Section Head or independently when immediate action is necessary to ensure production resumes.
  • Continuously review the plant automation system and make recommendations for improvement based on leading practices.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Shift Coordinator.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in chemical engineering.
