Despite Dwindling Revenue, Governor Aminu Masari has approved the extension of the tenure of S-POWER Teaching Staff for additional one year Service period. S-POWER Program was initiated by the Masari Administration to curtail the problems of teaching staff shortage across public primary and secondary schools in Katsina State.
The teaching staff are placed on a N20,000 monthly stipend for Primary School Teachers and N25,000 for Secondary Schoolchool Teachers.
At the program inception, Governor Aminu Masari recruited 5000 teaching staff for primary schools and 2000 teaching staff for secondary schools.
1,169 of the total 5000 staff (Primary School) have been confirmed to be permanent and pensionable.
