QUALIFICATIONS

1. Professor

• Candidates must possess a first degree of not less than second class upper division, a master’s degree and a
  Ph.D degree in the appropriate discipline applied for, with at least ten (10) years teaching and research
  experience in a University.
• Candidates must be an international scholar of high esteem, possessing scholarly peer reviewed publications in both local and international journals as proof of area of specialisation within
  departmental fields of study.
• A Scopus publication h-index of 15 points and above and the evidence of having attracted research grants as principal investigator in recent years will be added advantages.
• Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience and must not be above 55 years old at the time of appointment.

2. Associate Professor

• Candidates must possess a first degree of not less than second class upper division, a master’s degree and a
  Ph.D degree in the appropriate discipline applied for, with at least eight (8) years teaching and research
  experience in a University.
• Candidates must be an international scholar of high esteem, possessing scholarly peer reviewed publications in both local and international journals as proof of area of specialisation within
  departmental fields of study.
• A Scopus publication h-index of between 8 to 14 points and the evidence of having oattracted research grants as principal investigator in recent years will be added advantages.
• Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience and must not be above 55 years old at the time of appointment.

3. Senior Lecturer

• Candidates must possess a first degree of not less than second class upper division, a master’s degree and a
  Ph.D degree in the appropriate discipline applied for, with at least five (5) years teaching and research
  experience in a University.
• Candidates must be an international scholar of high esteem, possessing scholarly peer reviewed publications in both local and international journals as proof of area of specialisation within
  departmental fields of study.
• A Scopus publication h-index of between 4 to 7 points and the evidence of having attracted research grants as principal investigator in recent years will be added advantages.
• Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience and must not be above 50 years old at the time of appointment.

4. Lecturer I

• Candidates must possess a first degree of not less than second class upper division, a master’s degree and a
  Ph.D degree in the appropriate discipline applied for, with at least two (2) years teaching and research
  experience in a University as a Lecturer II.
• Candidates must possess scholarly peer reviewed publications in both
  local and international journals as proof of area of specialisation within departmental fields of study.
• Candidates must not be above 45 years old at the time of appointment.

 

5. Lecturer II

• Candidates must possess a first degree of not less than second class upper division, a master’s degree and a
  Ph.D degree in the appropriate discipline applied for, with evidence of having worked as an Assistant Lecturer in a University or as an academic staff in an educational institution for at least two (2) years.
• Candidates not be above 40 years old at the time of appointment.

 

6. Laboratory Technologists (Only in departments advertised)

• A Candidate for position of Snr Laboratory Technologist must possess a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree from a recognized University not below 2nd Class Lower Division, plus a Master’s Degree, plus six (6) years post qualification cognate experience.
• Candidates for Laboratory Technologist I & II, must possess a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree from a recognized University not below 2nd Class Lower Division plus at least two (Two) years post qualification cognate experience.
• All applicants must be registered with National Institute of Science
  Laboratory Technology (NISIT) or other recognized professional laboratory technology bodies.
• Candidates must not be above 50 years old at the time of appointment.

7. Pre-Degree School Tutors

• Candidates must possess a first degree of either First Class Division or Second Class Upper Division with a CGPA of 3.8 and above.
• Must have completed the NYSC programme or possess NYSC exemption certificate.
• Candidates not be above 35 years old at the time of appointment.

 

8. Deputy Registrar

• Candidate must possess a first degree of not less than second class division and a Master’s degree, both from
  recognized University with at least 10 years post-qualification cognate experience, at least 5 years of the
  experience should be in a higher institution especially a university.
• Candidate must have served in a position not below Principal Assistant Registrar in an institution of higher learning at the time of submitting an application for this vacancy.
• Possession of a Ph.D. and membership of recognized professional bodies would be an added advantage. Candidates must not be above 45 years old at the time of appointment.

9. Administrative Secretary

• Candidate must possess a first degree of not less than second class division in secretarial studies or related fields
  with at least two years post qualification cognate experience.
• A higher degree and membership of recognized professional bodies would be an added advantage.
• Candidates must not be above 35 years old at the time of appointment.

 

10.  Clerical officer

• Candidate must possess OND or its equivalence with at least two years post-qualification cognate experience.
• Candidates must not be above 30 years old at the time of appointment.

 

 

SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES:

Salaries and allowances are as obtainable in Nigerian Public Universities.
