Sardauna College of Health Sciences and Technology Kano Recruitment 2021

The challenges of providing trained man power in health education and technology led to the desire to contribute towards the positive development of health education in Kano State and Nigeria at large. This metamorphoses to the decision to establish Sardauna School of Health Sciences and Technology in Kano in tandem with the requirement of the Medical and allied Health regulatory bodies. The objective of establishing the college is to further bridge the gap in middle level human resources in Health sector, and produce graduates with suitable skills to contribute in Health Care delivery system within the state and nation at large.

 

The college will run the following programs for 2022/2023 academic session:

  1. Community Health Technology – CHEW & JCHEW.
  2. Medical Lab Science Technology
  3. Health Information Management (ND,Dip).
  4. Environmental Health Technology (ND,Dip.Cert.)
  5. Public Health
  6. Dispensing optic.
  7. Nutrition and Dietetics
  8. General/Applied/Remedial Studies – General.
  9. Applied Science/Preliminary Studies

In cognizance to the above, Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacancies;

 

POSITIONS/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:-

1. PROVOST

  • MBBS, BSc public health, BSc community health (relevant discipline of health/medical/allied).
  • Good leadership and innovatively.
  • At least ten years working experience in relevant high level academic/administrative position in higher institution (preferably health related institution.)
  • Additional qualification in management and administration will be an added advantage.

 

 

2. REGISTRAR

  • MA/Msc (Public Administration, Political Science, Management Development studies, Economics, Public Policy, Diplomacy, Law, Human Resources Management.)
  • Administrative Skills and high level of professionalism and public relation.
  • At least 5years working experience in relevant administrative cadre in higher institution.

 

 

3. BURSAR 

  • MA/Msc (Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics, Business Admin Insurance Actuarial Science.)
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies (ICAN, ANAN etc).
  • Financial management/Prudence skills.
  • Good revenue drives and accountability.
  • At least 5years working experience in relevant high level financial control and management in higher institutions.

 

 

4. CHIEF LIBRERIAN

  • MEd/Msc (Library Science, Information Science, Informatics, ICT etc.)
  • Evidence of professional membership
    Ability to apply ICT in library utilization inducing e-library.
  • At least ten(10) years working experience of library sciences in Higher institutions.

 

 

5. HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS

  • Community Health Technician (CHT)
    Public Health.
  • Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
    Health Information Management.
  • General studies

 

MPH/BSc Public Health/CHO

  • 10 years cognate experience in College of Health PHC/Allied Medical Science.
  • PHC Tutorship from recognize institute.
  • Current Licensed by CHRBN
    Good leadership and co-ordination.

 

MSc/MEd/MPH/BSc Public Health in relevant fields

  • 10 years cognate experience.
  • Registered / Licensed practitioner by EHOROCON/WAHEM.
  • PGDE (added advantage)
  • Good leadership and co-ordination

 

Medical Laboratory Scientists

  • 10 years cognate experience
    Current Licensed practitioner by MLSCN.
  • PGDE added advantage.
  • Good leadership and co-ordination

 

6. SENIOR LECTURER – MSc/MEd/MPH (other relevant discipline)

  • 10 years cognate experience in tertiary institutes (preferably Health Technology or College Health).
  • Registered practitioner with relevant regulating agencies.
  • Good mentorship, research support and supervision.

 

7. LECTURER I, II – BPH/MBBS/BDS/ODS In Relevant Disciplines of Healthcare

  • 7 years cognate experience of lecturing in tertiary inst. ( preferably college of Health or equivalent)
    Registered practitioner with appropriate professional bodies)
  • Good mentorship, student’s co-ordination and clinical supervision.

 

 

8. TUTOR / INSTRUCTOR – HND/BSc/BEd/BPH etc in relevant fields

  • 5 years’ experience.
  • Registered practitioner.
  • Possess tutorship from recognized institute.
  • Ability to cruise medical and clinical learning processes.

 

9. TECNOLOGISTS – ND/HND/ in relevant field of healthcare profession.

  • Registered / Licensed practitioner.
    Ability to co-ordinate clinical and practical sessions.

 

10. ICT OFFICER – HND/BSc/PGD in IT/ICT/Computer Sci/Engineering

  • Professional membership.
    Software Developer.
  • Programmer.
  • Data Analyst.
  • Good Instructor/facilitator.

 

11. ADMIN OFFICER – HND/BA/BSc/PGD in relevant Admin field

  • ICT literate / Office Technology.
  • Good Public Relations.
  • Ability to keep confidential recons.
  • Good communication skills.

 

 

12. ACCOUNTANT – HND/BSc/PGD in relevant field

  • ICT literate / application.
  • Good accounting skills for voucher remuneration.

 

 

13. CLERK – Cert/OND/Dip/ND in relevant fields

  • ICT literate
