Link to Apply for NPC Adhoc Staff Recruitment for 2023 Census: Please recall that the Commission of its 201st meeting approved the use of the e-Recruitment Portal for the recruitment of the 2023 Population and Housing census (PHC) Ad-hoc functionaries.

 

 

The NPC portal will be used to recruit personnel within and outside the Commission for the various roles required for the Census activities.

5. Data Quality Assistants

Job Description:

• The quality assurance assistants or rovers are to assist the field coordinators by moving from one EA to the other to ensure fieldwork is carried out smoothly. he is mobile and covers five SAS.

• Reporting all the technical problems to the field coordinator.

• For all flagged within his assigned boundary, he does ground truthing.

• He ensures that real-time correction is effected.

• Renders assistant to the enumerators when they are having issues with the pda (i.e. give ICT support).

 

Job Requirements:

• Be a nigerian.
• Have basic office tools skills (excel is an added advantage) .
• Have survey field experience.
• Have managerial skills.
• Have a minimum of HND.
• Be between the age range of 25-45 years.
• Can speak english.
• Have a functional email and phone number.
• Have a national identification number.
• Preferably civil servant or teachers.

 

 

6. Supervisors

Job Description.

• A field supervisor is the team lead of between three and six pairs of enumerators. s/he works closely with the field coordinator.

• Handles all difficulties the enumerators might report to him/her, including non-contacts and refusals.

• Checks that enumerators have visited all dwellings in the enumeration areas (EAS) assigned to their team.

• Establishes good working relationships with military, civil, village head and other authorities to ensure that work goes smoothly

• Carries out monitoring visits in each ea and makes a daily report to the field coordinator on the progress of the census work.

• Ensure as much as possible the security of enumerators working under him/her.

• Clears the enumerators after completion of their task.

 

Field Supervisor Job Requirements:

• Be a nigerian.
• Speak the language of the local community.
• Have a minimum of ond.
• Be between the age range of 25-45 years.
• Can speak english.
• Have survey field experience
• Have managerial skills
• Have a functional email and phone number.
• Have a national identification number.

 

7. Enumerators

Job description

• Enumerators are key to the census process and as such are the front-line soldiers in the entire census army to interact with the public and obtain census data.

• To interview all households and individuals in the eas assigned, using the appropriate forms/questionnaire in the electronic data collection device and complete the record of work.

• Responsible to, and report back to his/her field supervisor daily;

• Receive instructions and feedback if any, from the data quality manager through data quality assistant in the LGA.

• Refers to the DQM and DQA for support on PDA issues for troubleshooting if the issue cannot be handled by the supervisor or field coordinator.

 

Enumerator Job Requirement:

• Be a nigerian.
• Speak the language of the local community.
• ICT proficiency.
• Basic literacy in mathematics.
• Have a minimum of ssce/ond.
• Be between the age range of 20-35 years.
• Can speak english.
• Have a functional email and phone number.
• Have a national identification number.
