Kaduna NG Cares Re-opens Portal for Fresh Application 2023:K0ADUNA CARES The COVID-19 pandemic and the concurrent shock to global oil prices created an urgent need to mitigate the social and economic impacts of the crisis in Nigeria.

The Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (CARES) Program is a World Bank-sponsored intervention that seeks to mitigate the local effects of the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic at the state-level, by protecting the livelihoods of existing and newly poor and vulnerable households and supporting the recovery of local economic activity, especially among MSMEs.

Result Area 3 (RA3) of the intervention focuses on Micro Small and Medium scale enterprises (MSMEs) and is aimed at providing relief, facilitating recovery, and enhancing the capabilities of local MSMEs through the provision of tailored support.

In Kaduna, Kaduna CARES RA3 is targeted at formal and informal MSMEs involved in commercial activities within the state and will provide:

 

Credit Grant

This initiative is to ease financial constraints and non-interruption of production process/service delivery by co-financing a portion of business loans taken by MSMEs as from 16th June 2020, from licensed financial institutions to qualified beneficiaries.

 

Requirements

  • MSME Operator Between 18-45 years.
  • Minimum operation of 2 years
  • Minimum of 3 employees
  • Functional BVN/ bank account
    Business Incorporation/ Registration (CAC or SMEDAN).
  • KADIRS Tax Enrollment Business Premise Registration Participation in Certified Business Training Membership in a registered Cooperative/Business Member Association.

 

ICT Grant

This initiative is to enhance the resilience, capacity, capability and business continuity of MSMEs by co-financing the adoption and upgrade of digital technology, including investments in MSEs’ IT infrastructure or procurement of ICT solutions (hardware or software).

  • KADIRS Tax Enrollment
    Business Premise Registration.
