Kaduna state NG-Cares application portal is open for kaduna state indigenes to support their businesses affected by Covid-19 pandemic. below are the details of the requirements, categories of grants and the documents to be uploaded.
The COVID-19 pandemic and the concurrent shock to global oil prices created an urgent need to mitigate the social and economic impacts of the crisis in Nigeria. The Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (CARES) Program is a World Bank-sponsored intervention that seeks to mitigate the local effects of the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic at the state-level, by protecting the livelihoods of existing and newly poor and vulnerable households and supporting the recovery of local economic activity, especially among MSMEs.
Result Area 3 (RA3) of the intervention focuses on Micro Small and Medium scale enterprises (MSMEs) and is aimed at providing relief, facilitating recovery, and enhancing the capabilities of local MSMEs through the provision of tailored support.
In Kaduna, Kaduna CARES RA3 is targeted at formal and informal MSMEs involved in commercial activities within the state and will provide:
1. Operational Grant (A Kori Talauci)
This initiative aims to reduce job losses, salary debt and cost of business inputs, as well as increase the creation of new jobs.
Requirements
- Business location in Kaduna State
- Minimum operation of 1 year
- Functional BVN/ bank account
- Valid NIN registration
- Business Incorporation (CAC) for formal businesses
- Business Registration (SMEDAN or Cooperative/Business Member Association) for informal businesses
- Tax Registration/Enrollment (where applicable)
2. ICT Grant
This initiative is to enhance the resilience, capacity, capability and business continuity of MSMEs by co-financing the adoption and upgrade of digital technology, including investments in MSEs’ IT infrastructure or procurement of ICT solutions (hardware or software).
