The sum of One Hundred and Thirty-Five Bilion, Four Hundred and Seventy Nine Million, Eight Hundred and Eighty Four Thousand, Six Hundred and Seventy Seven N aira, and Two Kobo
(N135,479,884,677.02) has been reimbursed to States and FCT under the Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES) Programme by the Federal Government.
The NG-CARES Programme is a 750 Million USD World Bank assisted Multi-Sectoral Intervention Programme. It
is an initiative of the Government of Nigeria within the framework of the Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP) and
the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR It is a shock response mecahnism put in place to support Poor and Vulnerable Individuals and Households, Smal-Holder Farmers, Nano, Micro and Small Enterprises, adversely afected by cOVID-19 Pandemic and other natural and economic shocks. The Programme is implemented in all the 36 States and FCT
under 3 Results Areas with 11 Disbursement Linked Indicators.
