I am pleased to inform you that the Board of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria at its 56th General Meeting has approved release of the results of November 2021 Professional Examinations for General/Post Basic Nurses.

2. Summary of the results indicate:
a) General Nursing Programme,:
i. Basic Nursing Programme Six thousand, four hundred and forty-five (6,445) candidates were successful in the examination representing 78% pass.
ii. Refresher Programme Seventy-three (73) candidates were successful in the examination representing 92% pass.
iii. Foreign Trained Nurses Two hundred and eighty (280) candidates were successful in the examination representing 63% pass.
b) Post Basic Nursing Programmes: One thousand, five hundred and fifty-six (1, 556) candidates were successful in the examination representing 97% pass.
3. However, the Governing Board of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria has withheld the results of forty-seven (47) institutions while investigation is ongoing to unravel the conduct of the examination in the affected institutions.
4. Heads of the training institutions are hereby directed to check for the result of their institution(s) on-line as from Thursday 1658 December, 2021.
5. Successful Candidates are hereby directed to visit the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Portal (portal.nmen.gov.ng) to apply on-line for Registration and Licencing with effect from Friday 17. December, 2021.
6. Please note that on-line registration formalities including payment of registration fee is to be completed within ninety (90) days. Late registration attracts a penalty fee of Sixteen Thousand, two hundred and fifty Naira (N16,250.00) per applicant and Six thousand, five hundred and sixty-two Naira (N6,562.00) will be charged per year in default of first licensing.
7. Please note that the next Professional Examination for General/Post Basic Nurses is scheduled to hold from Tuesday 3rd — Thursday 5th May, 2022.
8. Heads of nursing training institutions are hereby requested to send hard copies or application forms for May 2022 Professional Examination to reach the Council on or before Monday 7. February, 2022. Application forms received after this date will be out rightly rejected.
8. Please acknowledge receipt of the result and contact the Secretary-General/Registrar immediately for rectification of any error. Council will not entertain any complaint after 30 days of release of result.
