QUALIFICATIONS:
(i) Professor
- Candidates should possess a PhD degree in the appropriate discipline applied for, with at least 10 years of teaching and research experience in a University, with at least two years as an Associate Professor.
- Candidates must possess scholarly publications in both local and international journals as proof of specialisation in core areas of departmental fields of study.
- Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience. Proficiency in the use of ICT is compulsory.
(ii) Associate Professor
- As in (i) above, but with eight years of teaching and research experience in a University, with at least two years as a Senior Lecturer.
- The candidate must also have sufficient administrative experience. Proficiency in the use of ICT is compulsory.
(iii) Senior Lecturer
- As in (i) above, but with five years of teaching and research experience in a University, with at least two years as a Lecturer I.
- Candidate must also have sufficient administrative experience.
- Proficiency in the use of ICT is compulsory.
(iv) Lecturer I
- As in (i) above, but with three years of teaching and research experience in a University, with at least two years as a Lecturer II.
- Proficiency in the use of ICT is compulsory.
(v) Lecturer II
- As in (i) above, but with three years of teaching and research experience in a University, with at least two years as an Assistant Lecturer.
- Computer literacy and the ability to teach using Multimedia technology are mandatory.
- Proficiency in the use of ICT is compulsory.
(vi) Assistant Lecturer
- Candidate must be a holder of Bachelors’ and Master’s degrees in the relevant areas from recognised universities.
- Evidence of publications in learned journals in University and apex research/training institutes is also required.
- Candidate must have evidence of NYSC discharge certificate or exemption certificate.
(vii) Graduate Assistant
- Candidate must be a holder of Bachelor’s degree (with a minimum of Second Class division) in the relevant fields from a recognised Universities.
- Candidate must have evidence of NYSC discharge certificate or exemption certificate.
(viii) University Librarian
- Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science or related field with at least 10 years post qualification experience in a University or comparable institution.
- The candidate must be competent in the use of ICT.
(ix) Library Assistant
- Candidate must be a holder of Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Library Science or Library & Information Science.
- Candidate must have evidence of NYSC discharge or exemption certificate and must be competent in the use of ICT.
(x) Laboratory Assistant
- Candidate must possess a minimum of National Diploma (ND) in Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) with a minimum of a Lower Credit and at least five ‘O’ Level Credit passes to include the English Language.
- A minimum of 3 years of cognate experience is required. Proficiency in the use of ICT is compulsory.
F. SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES:
Salaries and allowances are as approved by the Governing Council of the University.
G. CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
