The Federal Government created the Federal Road Safety Commission in February 1988, through Decree No. 45 of 1988 as revised by Decree 35 of 1992 mentioned in the statute books as the FRSC Act cap 141 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria (LFN). Approved by the National Assembly as Federal Road Safety Commission (establishment) Act 2007.
Applications are invited from suitable qualified candidates into various Cadres of the Federal Road Safety Commission.
(b) Any certificate or qualification not declared or tendered at the time of recruitment process cannot be subsequently presented for career progression in the corp.
(c) Applicants must be Nigerian by birth
(d) Not be less than 18 years or more than 30 years old in 2021 (35 years will be considered for medical Doctors)
(e) Applicants must be single
(f) Not less than 1.68 metres for male and 1.63 metres for female in height
(g) Have a fully expanded chest measurement of not less than 0.87 metres for men only
(h) Be physically and mentally fit for paramilitary activities
(i) Produce a certificate of medical fitness from a government hospitalBe free from any form of financial embarrassment, be of good character, and must not have been convicted of any criminal offenses
(j) Anyone found to have submitted false document would be disqualified and prosecuted
(k) Double entries would be disqualifiedShortlisted applicant would be required to take a computer-based examination to be conducted by JAMB
(l) Shortlisted applicant would be required to undergo drug test with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA)
(m) Shortlisted candidates are expected to come along with a print out of their forms as well as the acknowledgeThis Exercise attract no Fee.

CATEGORIES OF FOR FEDERAL ROAD SAFETY COMMISSION (FRSC)
1. OFFICER CADRE:
- Holders of Fist Degree B.Sc/ HND from a recognised institution of Learning.
- NYSC discharged Certificate/Exemption Certificate.
2. MARSHAL INSPECTORATE CADRE:
a. Marshal Inspector I
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess the following from recognized institutions:
- Double qualification RN/RM, Accident & Emergency Nurses, Pediatric Nurses, Anesthetic Nurses, Orthopedic Nurses, Radiographic Nurses from recognized institutions.
- Statement of Result not beyond 5years.
b. Marshal Inspector II
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess the following from recognized institutions:
- Nigerian Certificate of Education (NCE) in relevant disciplines.
- Registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RM).
- Statement of Result not beyond 5years.
c. Marshal Inspector III
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess the following from recognized institutions:
- National Diploma (ND)/ Senior Community Health Extension Workers Certificate (CHEW) .
- Statement of Result not beyond 5years.
3. ROAD MARSHAL ASSISTANT CADRE
a. Road Marshal Assistant I
Qualifications
- Junior Community Health Extension Worker (JCHEW).
- Statement of Result not beyond 5years.
b. Road Marshal Assistant II
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) credits in SSCE (GCE/WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) which must include English Language and Mathematics.
c. Road Marshal Assistant III
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) credits in SSCE (GCE/WAEC/NECO/NABTEB).
4. ARTISANS AND TRADESMEN
Artisans and Tradesmen may apply under this category. Those applying for the posts of Computer Operators, Drivers, Mechanics, Motorcycle Riders, Electricians, Instrumentalists, Tailors, Plumbers, Sportsmen etc must possess the following:
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 passes in SSCE (GCE/WAEC/NECO/NABTEB).
- Trade Test and or other professional Certificates.
- iii. Drivers and Riders must have the appropriate class of Driver’s Licence.
- Candidates must not be more than 28 years of age.
